The Worship Arts department at First Presbyterian Church of Jamaica Queens aims to worship God in Spirit and in Truth leading the people into the presence of God, creating an atmosphere of openness to the Holy Spirit the will break bondage, heal broken hearts and enable people to escape from the confinement of negative forces in their lives.
The Worship Arts Ministry also offers a space for congregants to discover their spiritual gifts and develop their talents through seasonal collaborative presentations given during the year.

The following programs are designed to assist you in finding a way to cultivate a deeper spirit of fellowship with others and a better understanding of where you fit best within the church community and the community in which you live, play and work.

Praise and Worship Team:
Lead Singers, Choir, Instruments, Soloists.
Our praise and worship aims to glorify God. We have full band plus a full choir every Sunday.
Flowing Psalms of Praise Dance & Drama:
Choreographers, Dancers.
Flowing Psalms of Praise ministers the word of God through dance, drama, creative/visual arts, sign language and gestures. This ministry nurtures member through prayer, witnessing, dance training, bible study and translating the value of liturgical dance to both church congregations and pastors in this community and worldwide as God leads us. Open to all who have a love of God. Practices on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7pm.
Ambassador Team:
Greeters, Ushers, Welcome Desk.
Be a part of the team that helps all people who come through the Sanctuary on Sunday feel welcome and beloved, as well as those who follow up with visitors.
Media Ministry:
Audio, Visual, Lighting, Computer Operations, Microphone Systems, Wireless Systems.
Our Sunday service has a media ministry managing a full sound system, multiple cameras, visuals, and our livestreaming of the sermon. Students looking for media experience on their resumes welcome!
